Privacy Policy.
JOPStudios is operated by Jide Odukoya, a sole proprietorship in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This policy covers jopstudios.com and any inquiry, consultation, or contract that flows through it. We follow PIPEDA and CASL, and honour GDPR rights for visitors in the EU, EEA, and UK.
What we collect
- What you give us: your name, your partner's name, contact details, wedding date, venue, guest count, and anything you share through the inquiry form, consultation, or messages.
- Booking records: your contract, payment dates and amounts, and the last four digits of your card. Your full card number stays with Stripe, never with us.
- Site usage: IP address, browser, device, pages viewed, and referral source. Standard web server data.
- Cookies and analytics, only if you accept the banner.
How we use it
- To respond to inquiries, run consultations, prepare quotes and contracts, and deliver your gallery, films, and album.
- To send studio updates only if you opted in. Every marketing email has a one-click unsubscribe.
- To meet Canadian tax and record-keeping obligations, and to enforce our studio agreements.
Who we share it with
We never sell your information. We share only with the partners we need to operate:
- Hosting and infrastructure: Vercel, Neon (Postgres), Vercel Blob.
- Communication: Resend (email), Google Workspace, Cal.com (scheduling).
- Payments: Stripe and Canadian bank rails.
- Delivery: Pixieset / Pic-Time / WeTransfer for galleries; album binderies and print labs.
- Analytics: Google Analytics 4 and Meta Pixel, only after cookie consent.
- Our accountant, under confidentiality, and legal authorities when required.
Your photographs
Your studio agreement governs your imagery. In short: you receive a lifetime, worldwide personal-use license to share, print, and reproduce your photographs and films. JOPStudios retains the copyright and the right to feature selected work in our portfolio, social, and press, unless your contract says otherwise. Write "private wedding" on your contract to keep everything off public channels. We never sell your imagery to stock libraries or third parties.
How long we keep it
- Inquiry records: 24 months from last contact, unless you book.
- Contracts, invoices, tax records: 7 years (Canadian tax law).
- Galleries and master files: minimum 7 years; in practice indefinitely. Download and archive your own copies on delivery.
- Analytics: 14 months. Marketing list: until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Write to us anytime to see, correct, delete, port, or stop our use of your information, or to withdraw any consent. Canadian residents can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (priv.gc.ca); EU / EEA / UK residents to their national data protection authority.
Security and changes
We use HTTPS, encrypted databases, access-controlled admin tools, and 2FA for all studio admin access. If we discover a breach affecting you, we will notify you per Canadian law. We may update this policy as the studio or the law evolves; the effective date at the top reflects the latest version.
